Resumable, because big uploads fail
Anything over a few hundred megabytes will eventually meet a lift, a tunnel or a hotel router. Files here are sent in pieces, and the browser remembers which pieces already landed.
Pick the same file again after a crash or a reload and it carries on from where it stopped. It does not re-send what already arrived, which on a slow connection is the difference between a nuisance and an evening.
No compression, no repackaging
What you upload is what the other person downloads, byte for byte. Video is not re-encoded, images are not stripped, archives are not unpacked and inspected.
The recipient needs nothing: no account, no app, no invite. They click the link and the file downloads, which is what people assumed sharing would be like before it got complicated.
Fast on both ends
Uploads go straight through to storage rather than sitting on a single machine first, and downloads come from a network of servers across Europe and North America, so the file is served from near whoever you sent it to.

What is the maximum file size?
1 GB per file. Across all your uploads the limit is 10 GB every 24 hours.
What happens if my upload is interrupted?
Choose the same file again and it resumes from the last piece that arrived. Nothing that already uploaded is sent twice.
Does the recipient need an account?
No. They open the link and the download starts. There is nothing to sign up for on either side.
Can I send several files at once?
Yes, select or drag as many as you like and each gets its own link. For a single link, zip them first.
